Terms of Use

The plain-language terms that govern your use of DearBaby.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using DearBaby, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or this website.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for the activity that happens under it. Please keep your login details private and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Your content stays yours

The photos, videos, voice memos, notes, and other memories you add to DearBaby remain yours. You grant us only the limited permissions needed to store, sync, and display your content back to you and the family members you invite.

4. Family sharing

DearBaby lets you invite trusted family members into a private circle. You are responsible for who you invite and for the access you grant. Sharing is invite-only and there is no public feed.

5. Acceptable use

Please use DearBaby lawfully and respectfully. Do not use the service to store or share unlawful content, to infringe others’ rights, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.

6. Subscriptions and billing

DearBaby is free to download, with optional paid storage tiers. Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and renewal and cancellation are handled there per each store’s terms. Prices are shown before purchase.

7. Account deletion

You may delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app, or by emailing info@dearbaby.co.uk. Upon verification, your personal data is permanently deleted. Some limited records may be retained where required by law.

8. Service changes and availability

We may update or improve DearBaby over time, and features may change. We aim to keep the service reliable but cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Termination

You may stop using DearBaby at any time. DearBaby may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability and warranty

DearBaby is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the extent permitted by applicable law, DearBaby is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or service.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DearBaby are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
